10 Signs You're Addicted to Food (and What You Can Do About It)

Millions and millions of people all over the world are struggling, and are totally unaware of the fact that they've become addicted. Addicted to something that's purposely added in almost every processed food- sugar.

Just like any other addictive substance, sugar acts on the reward center of the human brain.

When this area of the brain is stimulated, it floods the brain with dopamine and endorphins. This causes you to feel happy, joyous, energized, awake, and free from all aches and pains.

But, as you know, what goes up must come down. This is the blood sugar roller coaster.

Many sugar addicts find themselves trapped in a vicious cycle. The cycle of suffering I call it. Binging on food, feeling guilty and shameful about the binge, and then binging again to feel better, to soothe themselves.

This is extremely dangerous for us diabetics. The repercussions of living with high blood sugar are absolutely horrific. The body essentially rots from the inside out.

Sugar addiction is THE ONE THING that stands in the way of us diabetics controlling our blood sugar, losing weight, and taking back our lives from diabetes.

So, what should we do about it?

The first step is to identify if you are indeed addicted.

Here are some clues that you may be addicted to Sugar, flour, and process food. The more intensely or the more frequently you experience these feelings the more addicted you are:

  1. You feel sluggish or tired from overeating.
  2. You get anxiety when you think about cutting down, or omitting certain foods from your diet.
  3. You eat certain foods even when you're not hungry just because you were craving them.
  4. Guilt from overeating causes you to miss time with your family your friends or other doing things that you love.
  5. You have health issues because of the way you eat, however, you cannot stop.
  6. When you try to cut out certain foods from your diet you become agitated and feel anxious.
  7. You become angry or upset when others comment about your eating habits.
  8. You sometimes hide, or eat in private so nobody will know.
  9. You often feel guilt or shame after you eat.
  10. Over the years you're eating has increased. For example, you may have only ordered one hamburger at a fast food joint in the past, now you order two or three.

So, did any of these statements sound familiar to you?

If so, then you are suffering from food addiction, more specifically you are addicted to sugar.

I know that that may be difficult for you to admit, but that's why you're here, right?

What can we do about it?

Once I identified that I was indeed addicted I realized that this was exactly why I couldn’t stick to a diet for longer than a few days.

It was THE ONE THING that was sabotaging my success.

After trying about a dozen times to cut back, omit certain foods, starve, you name it, I finally found the perfect formula for beating sugar addiction once and for all - and that was to go cold turkey and completely detox from sugar.

That’s right, one full week with NO sugar or carbs of any kind…even fruit.

I know, I know what you’re thinking. But, It’s actually quite easy ONCE you know what foods and snack to replace the sugar with, and, the precise times to eat them.

Once I figured that out weight loss and blood sugar control was a piece of cake (no pun intended).

Do you want to know exactly how I did it?

I’ve created an online program that takes you step-by-step through the exact process that I used. It's called The Diabetic Fighter Diet and it's FREE to try for a limited time.
